Children’s Ministry Updates
We recently said goodbye to Theresa Choi as a Nursery teacher with us. Theresa feels the Lord is calling her in some different directions, and we also continue to pray for healing in her body. We are so thankful for the way she has loved and cared for the children of our church! We’ll look forward to seeing her in service and to witnessing how the Lord continues to use her kind and caring heart.
As we say goodbye, we also get to say hello to some new additions to our team! We’re grateful to welcome several new volunteers serving in Children’s Ministry and STEM Club.

In the meantime, Shannen will also be helping me with some procedures and documents as we continue strengthening and organizing our Children’s Ministry.
Brielle Doerksen has become a new helper with us, and I know Jessa Scheirer is counting the days until her birthday so she can make it official too! 😊
Things are coming together for our 9:15am Nursery care, and I’m feeling encouraged that a balanced rotation will soon be in place as we finalize criminal record checks, plan our safety training, and get the remaining paperwork in order.
11:00am Nursery Help Needed
Our 11:00am service could still use some help with having a Nursery teacher on call. We have a lovely list of volunteers forming, but very few are available for the later service.
As the 11am teacher, you would arrive at 10:45am and, if nobody needs Nursery care, you would be free to leave by 11:15am. We have been seeing families come to our early service, but you never know when they may pop in!

Welcome baby Eero!
We have a lovely new family who has recently chosen to make WRCC their church home! Elycia and Eric, along with big brother Arri, welcomed their new baby boy, Eero, into the world on September 20!
We can’t wait to meet him! We pray for restorative rest, peaceful days of settling in, and many sweet moments together as they adjust to life as a family of four.
What a blessing — welcome, baby Eero!
We are heading to our first Children's Ministry Conference on Saturday, Oct 24 in Vancouver. I'll be heading over there with Kayla and Milan and we look forward to bringing back all we learn together.

STEM Club - Fall Session
Exploring the Bible — Experiencing Creative Discovery!
Tues. Sept 15 - Tues Dec. 8, 2026
Tuesdays 3:30pm - 5:00pm @ WRCC
Each week, kids ages 5 - 12yrs old will experience hands-on STEM fun while discovering the Bible and learning about real-life faith-filled scientists. We had a whole new set of equipment dropped off a couple weeks ago.
Kids are welcome to join at any point in the program.
