Foundations Course 2.0
We are so thankful for the great response we received from our Foundations Course, thank you to those who attended!
There were a number of people who could not make our last dates and Pastor Steve kindly offered to add in one more this Sunday afternoon, Feb 1. If you missed out on the last one, we'd love to have you join us in the Fellowship Hall after service. Lunch will be provided and prepare for a 3 hour session as we are not separating this one into 2 different days; we made some great adjustments just this week to serve you better.
Blessings.

Missionary Highlight
Peter Twele - UPDATE
Dear praying friends,
So many of you have assured us of your prayers for the Fini, Sonora and Cibta Bible translation teams. Praise God, they are all safe.
We asked you to pray for the believers who have been imprisoned for their faith. We learned that one of the two imprisoned brothers has been released. Praise God! But many more believers remain in prison.
There are three main warring factions in the country (plus a few minor factions as well). Soon after the update we sent you last month, two of those factions decided to come together to oppose the most oppressive group that continues to rule over most of the country. It is this third faction that is the most radical and is imprisoning many of the Christians. The people we work with are all located within the region controlled by the less radical group(s).
The radical group has actually been abducting dozens of believers in several provinces of the country since early 2025. Then earlier this month there was a spike in abductions of Christians.
How You Can Pray
- Pray for all those who are in prison and for their families, asking God to strengthen them, encourage them, and fill them with hope in the midst of uncertainty.
- Pray for those who persecute and harm others because of their faith. Ask God to soften their hearts, convict them to repent, and draw many into His Kingdom of love — transforming them to live lives that produce the fruits of the Spirit.
- Pray that both those in prison and those outside prison will continue to speak the word of God with boldness wherever they are. We read in Acts 4:29, “And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word.”
Thanks for continuing to pray with us,
Peter & Hazel

Current Staff Book Study
Streams of Living Water by Richard J. Foster
In this landmark work, Foster examines the "streams of living water" –– the six dimensions of faith and practice that define Christian tradition. He lifts up the enduring character of each tradition and shows how a variety of practices, from individual study and retreat to disciplines of service and community, are all essential elements of growth and maturity.
