Darryn has served in pastoral ministry for over 20 years and is the Lead Pastor of Midtown Church in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Darryn and his wife, Kim, moved to Canada in 2018 and have made BC their home. Darryn is a cancer survivor who is grateful for God’s faithfulness. When he’s not preaching or serving the church, you’ll likely find him enjoying a great cup of coffee, reading a classic book or cheering on the Vancouver Canucks.
Additional Connection and Support
Prayer requests from our missionaries Larry and Diane W:
- Pray that 8 new converts and 2 former ones, will be followers of Jesus and be fervent witnesses for Jesus.
- Pray for Lek as she goes out by bicycle with some other converts, or with us in our car. She has a heart to pray for the sick, but does not know her Bible well, and needs some training. We also help provide some of the needs for new believers and outreaches (food, 4 bicycles, solar or electric charged gospel mp3 players, 2nd hand clothes, house repairs. a wheelchair for Wanpen, etc.)
- Continue to pray for healing for Wanpen and her brother Suphat, both crippled by rheumathoid arthritis. Wanpen says she wants to walk, so she can go with us evangelizing. She will have her knees operated on and so please pray that will be successful. She lives alone with a wheel chair (donated by a foundation we contacted) and crutches, but it's painful and slow for her to get out of bed. Pray someone will help her with her house cleaning.
- Pray for renewed strength and healing as we sometimes go out long hours, often sitting in the heat where there are no fans. It's a blessing when people have chairs or a bamboo bench in the shade to sit on! I keep a few stools in my trunk just in case! It's usually 31-34 degrees Celsius throughout the day.
Thank you for your prayers.

Mystery Club: Investigating the Truth of Jesus
Get ready for an exciting week of discovery, creativity, and fun! At Mystery Club, kids will step into the role of investigators as we explore the truth of Jesus through engaging Bible stories, real-life stories of faith, and hands-on activities.
Each day will include fun games, interactive challenges, and time to build friendships, along with a snack to keep everyone energized.
Kids will be encouraged to ask questions, think deeply, and discover how the story of Jesus connects to their own lives.
This program is designed for elementary-aged kids and offers a safe, welcoming environment where every child can belong, learn, and have a great time.
We can’t wait to investigate together!
If you have any questions about registering or the program, please contact our Director of Children's Ministry:
